CONFIRMED: KNUST Dean of students resigns from office .

Several sources within the top tier of the administration leadership have confirmed to HYPEGH that The DOS Prof. William Gariba Akanwariwiak (also a lecturer at the Theoretical and Applied Biology Department ) has resigned from his position as Dean of student.

After a meeting with the Security personnel(Adarkwas) on January 16th it was made known that Mr. Gariba congratulated them for their tremendous work and  support they gave him through his tenure as the Dean.

Amidst a tumultuous semester, his work as DOS came under intensed scrutiny  prior to the uproar of violent protest that besieged the school and authorities in October.

Our sources confirm that his departure from the position was well thought through in the early  period of post protest reconciliation meetings in  October to avoid a semblance chaos in the school's administration by the media. It was agreed he stays as DOS till the end of the semester.
